Working Group Kick-off
June 8, 9AM-12PM ET
Lead Facilitator: Christine Von Renesse (Westfield State University)
Secondary Facilitators: Francesca Gandini (Kalamazoo College), Nina White (University of Michigan)
Are you interested in learning together with peers passionate about teaching with inquiry? Join us June 8 as we plan and kick-off small summer working groups, focused on teaching projects of your choice. Working with your peers and receiving mentorship from organizers over two months, you will think and learn deeply about your own teaching.
You will receive funding from AMiIBL to brainstorm your ideas and leave the working session with a team project to work on. You can bring your own project idea---like reading a book, trying a new tool, writing a course module, etc.---and/or generate ideas at the working session. Work with your team over the summer however you see fit, and share what you learned with a larger group of peers on Tuesday, July 27.
This workshop is jointly funded by University of Michigan and AMiIBL.
Update May 26: We have a couple more funded spots. Everyone who already registered will received the stipend. Those who register in the next week MAY also be able to receive funding-- you will be notified either way by email.
Funding for this workshop is provided by NSF-DUE #1925188 and University of Michigan Department of Mathematics.
